The God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ has hit the screens on May 26, 2017, and is doing well. Each and every person who watched the film is spell-bounded with the emotions and struggles of Sachin filled in it.
The audience had been giving a positive review and it has been absolutely amazing. The movie is about the Master Blaster, his personal life and cricketing career, which ends with his farewell speech from his final Test match against West Indies in Mumbai.
The Mumbai batsman, who is the only cricketer to have 100 international centuries under his belt, has portrayed his own role in the movie.
Before the movie was released, a special screening was held for the Indian cricket team. The screening was held in Mumbai before the team left for England to play ICC Champions Trophy. Soon after the screening is over, the players were asked to review the film.
When Virat Kohli was asked to review the movie, he said, “I think it was beautifully compiled and something which is going to be a massive success, especially in our country. People are going to really love it. (It) brings out all the emotions and it’s going to be a super success. I wish him all the best.”
A reporter asked the Indian skipper about when can one expect a biopic on his career. Kohli brought out his funny side and gave a sarcastic reply to the reporter. “Bhai Main 28 Ka Hun Abhi,” (I am just 28 years old) he said, before walking away.
