Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to start this Swachh Hyderabad Campaign from 16th May to 20th May. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet-program me Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to win over ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. GHMC plans to to lift around 11,000 metric tonnes of garbage and debris, where actually just 3400 metric tonnes of garbage is lifted every day from the city.
Swachh Hyderabad campaign :
Today the population of Hyderabad is one-crore form 5 lakhs. Minister had addressing the conference said, city had problems of drainage, drinking water, traffic and lung space (parks), in spite of its advantages. Telangana Minister for Commercial Taxes Talasani Srinivas Yadav said during the programme the city has been divided into 400 segments. Which was headed by different officers of Government of Telangana. Every unit will concentrate on sanitation and other civic related works to be taken up in each segment. Minister explained that over 33,500 officials of various departments would take part in Swachh Hyderabad.
Swachh Hyderabad with Rs.1000 Cr :
In this program its officers duty to motivate local people to participate in this great event. All the participants would be given t-shirts and caps. Main aim of this campaign is making the city dirt-free and smart by removing debris, garbage and dust. 800 vehicles are provided by the government for initiating this event.

An amount of Rs. 50 lakh is provided for each session or division to attend to at least small problems. Each commitie need to work for the campaign, visit the localities identify works like maintenance of drains, toilets, establishment of urinals, maintenance of streets, parks, cleaning of dumping yards and garbage collection. This leads to the success of the program.
