Kejriwal meets PM Modi, seeks full statehood for Delhi: AAP convener and Delhi CM designate Arvind Kejriwal, accompanied by senior party leader Manish Sisodia met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence at 7 Race Course road here on Thursday.

AAP leader posted a photograph along with a caption – “Today, I along with Manish Sisodia met PM Narendra Modi and raised the demand of full statehood for Delhi.”

After the meeting, Sisodia addressed mediapersons and informed, “Arvind told the Prime Minister that both the Centre and the state government enjoy strong majority, therefore, it is a golden opportunity for both to work together to make Delhi a better city.”

He said Kejriwal has invited the PM for his oath ceremony as Delhi chief minister on Saturday.

He, however, said the PM won’t be able to attend the ceremony. As per reports, the PM has plans to visit Maharashtra on Feb 14.

Kejriwal along with his cabinet ministers will take oath of office at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital on Saturday.
