Breaking News: Hyderabad On High Alert, ISIS Planned 3 Bomb Blasts

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted a suspected ISIS terror module  during raids in Hyderabad. The detained youths were allegedly in touch with their handlers in Syria. NIA Inspector-General Sanjeev Kumar Singh said they had carried out searches in 10 localities of the city.

The agency arrested five persons and detained six others. As per the sources they were “planning” attacks in the city. A large quantity of ammunition and explosives, two 9 mm pistols, 25 cellphones and Rs 15 lakh in cash were recovered during the raids.

NIA Arrested Terror Group Members:

The National Investigative Agency (NIA) teams along with Telangana police conducted raids at several places – Mir Chowk, Talab Katta, Hafiz Baba Nagar, Hussaini Alam, Moghalpura, Bhavaninagar, Falaknuma, and Chandrayanagutta since Tuesday night and arrested the terror group members.

They had acquired weapons and improvised explosive devices and were believed to be in touch with other terror groups through the social media network. The police identified five of the arrested youths as Mohammad Illiyas Yazdani, Mohammad Ibrahim, Habib Mohammad, Mohammad Irfan and Abdullah Bin Ahmad.

NIA’s Inspector General Sanjeev Kumar said that around 10 locations in the city were raided. “The searches are still going on. Weapons, explosive material, and huge cash have been recovered so far,” he said.

The ISIS reported having planned serial blasts in Hyderabad and massive destruction during the Eid. Meanwhile, police are checking vehicle riders and passengers at various locations across the city. Shamshabad airport and several other sensitive places in Hyderabad have been put on high alert.
