A city girl from Hyderabad secured All-India third position by scoring 99.25% marks in her class XII exams of ISC. The results of Indian School Certificate (ISC) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) were declared by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations on Monday.
Harshita Jhawar, who secured the top 3rd position across India is from Nasr Girls School. She shared All India third position in English along with other best three categories by overtaking last year’s top percentage of 98% in the city and stood as one among the best students from India. Harshita, with a cheerful grimace received the Abu Nasr scholarship from her school for her prodigious achievement. She shared her delighted moment with her school management and all her friends by giving some suggestions.
Harshita Jhawar said, “For me studying during morning time was more important. I never studied late in the night by having regular breaks.”
Devi Khushlani, an ICSE (Class X) student from Gitanjali Devshala, secured First position with 97.83% marks and stood as topper in the city of Hyderabad. Many other students from Class X (ICSE) have secured top positions. Among all the other high scorers in the ICSE exam, Raj Roy who is from Kalpa School secured 97% and Aakriti Krishnan from Hyderabad Public School (HPS) secured 96.% just 0.5% variation among these two students.
In the city, most the schools were on cloud nine and the remaining 60% of the students crossed the desirable percentage of 90% mark. Almost all the students secured 90 and above marks in some of the subjects such as Economics, Commerce, Political Science and Accounts. Usha Dham, Head of ISC in Nasr Girls School said, “It is a consolidated effort by Parents, teachers and Students.”
This year during the ISC exams, the Maths Question paper was little tough. Even then, Radhalakshmi VP, an ISC student from Gitanjali Senior School secured full marks in that subject. Radhalakshmi shared her feelings as “Maths and accounts were my favourite subjects. In spite of being tough, I am glad that my hard work paid off,” She stood as Second topper in the state with an aggregate score of 98.4%.
Meanwhile, the students from Andhra Pradesh also did fairly well in the exams with a pass percentage of 99.11% in ICSE and 97.2% in ISC exams. Around 3,266 students appeared for class X and 288 students for the class XII exam. All the students performed very well in the ISC and ICSE examinations and secured good range of marks in all the subjects.
