An Indian teenager has told how he can withstand 11,000 volts passing through his body and only discovered his bizarre talent by accident when he was repairing his mother’s heater. Human electricity insulator Deepak Jangra can apparently resist the same amount of voltage (11,000 Volts) required to power 500 houses and even sit with his hands inside a tub of water along with naked live wires.
The 16-year-old ‘electric boy’ from India – Deepak:
Electricity has the potential to kill or seriously injure anyone unfortunate enough to come in to contact with it, so it is baffling that someone would voluntarily put themselves at such risk. While a 2700 volt electric shock is capable of killing a human being, Deepak Jangra from Panipat in Haryana remains unaffected even when a current as strong as 11000 volt runs through his body.
About this weird talent Deepak said that 3 years ago, he was fixing a heater when he accidentally touched the open electric wires. He said that he did not feel anything then and thought there was no electricity. Now, he can easily stand electric shock as strong as 11000 volt.
Two weeks later, Deepak got a movie stuck inside his DVD player and decided to take the machine apart to attempt to retrieve the disc. ‘I hit the live wires again but again nothing happened,’ he said.
He claims: ‘I have a gift from God. I feel very privileged. I have the power to do things no-one else can and I don’t intend on wasting it.
Deepak said that when his teachers came to know about it, they asked him to see a doctor. Doctors conducted few blood tests but results were clear. All the reports were normal.
