Aasara Pension Scheme complaints toll free number: Corruption and inclusion of ineligible persons in the list of Aasara pension scheme and even suggestions on the implementation of the scheme can now be taken up with the government directly.
Panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao on Friday announced a toll free number to lodge complaints of corruption and irregularities in the pension scheme. Rama Rao wrote a letter to the MPTCs, ZPTCs, Special officers, Municipal Commissioners and CEOs of Zilla Parishads detailing them about the significance of the scheme. Stating that the government was extending pensions to 28 lakh beneficiaries for which it is incurring ` 4,000 crore expenditure per annum, Rama Rao said the exercise to identify more beneficiaries is still going on.
He said information regarding ineligible persons enrolled for the scheme and also any corruption in the implementation of the scheme can be passed on to the toll free number 18002001001 or the information can be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Such information can be directly given to Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP). The identity of the informants will be kept confidential, he said.
